The Wave

The Alaska Ocean Film Festival celebrates our ocean bounty for several months each winter. From Alaska’s biggest city, Anchorage, to outposts around the state, the festival brings ocean film to urban and rural residents alike. Short films of all types including narrative, documentary, animation, or experimental will be considered relating to Saltwater Adventure, Marine Science, and Coastal Cultures. Last year's Alaska Oceans Film Festival was a huge success with packed theaters across the state! Due to this success, the 2008-2009 festival has extended its reach and will visit new venues throughout Alaska. Join us for a festival that will take you underwater and around the world!

Due to the demand from around the state, the Alaska Ocean Film Festival has added new venues. While previous stops will feature all new films, many of the first time venues will be treated to a “best of 2005-2007” program. See if the Ocean Film Fest is coming to your town here.
